Description
Nipna Texas was retained from the 2022 crop of lambs born at Nipna. We pride ourselves on selecting the very best and only seek to run on the very best examples to this age. He is sired by Ilketshall Quality, a private purchase bought as a ram lamb in the bid to constantly improve fleece quality. The result of this is proven in the quality of his offspring left at Nipna. Texas is out of a ewe by Nipna Paddy - again a ram that was well shown to great success against the best of contemporaries.
The Nipna Flock of Wensleydale Sheep was established in 2008 and they currently run 30 pedigree white ewes and 5 black ewes at any one time. They have won many major awards over the years including the Great Yorkshire Championship, Breeder of the year and Fleece trophies. They aim to keep a healthy flock that stand up both as a carcass as well as a fleece producer.
